In the year 1961, the journey of Suiwah started as a mini market called Swee Wah Mini Market at Air Itam, Penang. The mini market provided daily necessities and consumer goods to the local population of Air Itam and its neighboring areas. In the year 1970 this company have expanded their mini market business extensively in Penang.

Today, the group operates 4 retail outlets (1) Sunshine Square Bayan Baru (2) Sunshine Hypermarket Farlim (3) Sunshine Jelutong and Suiwah Air Itam.

The group also has a chain of convenient stores in multi-national companies like Kobe, Agilent and ASE to better serve the community.
